Abbott {Family + Blake is 2!}

I can't say enough about this family! They're just too fun, adorable, & full of love (& I don't care if that sounds cheesy:)!  I could literally see how much they love each other!!  We ended up doing a 2 part shoot for family + Blake's 2 year photos, & I'm so happy we did!  While I like the first shoot, I LOVE the results of the 2nd!  You might recognize our two locations if you've golfed at Pond-a-River OR if you are like everyone else this fall (at least my Ft. Wayne area Facebook friends) & visited Lincoln Ridge Farms in Convoy, OH.  None of us had been there, so we weren't quite sure what to expect??  There's a reason why everyone goes there!! It is put together very well & ended having many great spots to stop & take a shot!!  Also, by round 2, Blake was really getting used to being followed by some crazy lady with a camera!!  Man, I know I've said this before, but he is just too. darn. cute!

That being said, I have to start off by showcasing this little man!  Don't you just want to kiss those adorable little dimpled cheeks?!!

So much adorableness happening here!!  *You can see why Blake's so cute!

I'm always saying that I love candid (natural) shots more than anything posed.  I don't feel I've captured this style as much as I did during their trip to Lincoln Ridge!  It was so fun to just interact and enjoy all the activities with them!

I could go on & on.... Check out more pictures in their GALLERY!

It's always a pleasure seeing & catching up with you guys!! I hope I was able to capture just a fraction of your cuteness & that you LOVE these pictures for many many years to come!

Ben Baily- Class of 2015

First senior shoot....CHECK!  I have to admit that it was just a little different from the family sessions I'm used to:).  For one, I didn't have to shoot like a mad woman to get that perfect shot! I am so used to shooting super fast (to capture those sweet but quick toddlers:) that I actually felt a little lost ...& well, slow! You mean, I only have to pose one person & just a few clicks of my finger will get the perfect shot?!!   I really ended up enjoying the change in pace & the new challenge of posing a senior boy!

I am also very glad that Ben's mom, Laurie, asked me to take Ben's senior pictures in the first place.  Being my first senior shoot, I had NOTHING to show her but my work with families.  It really took a leap of faith for her to book me & I'm sooooo grateful she did!

While I didn't know Laurie & Ben prior to this day; I'm hoping that we created just a few memories within the shoot itself!  I know I will remember several details from the day!
Let's see....
~ There was a dog blessing in progress at the same location.  (I had never even heard of this before:)
~ It ended up raining on us!
~ I lost my phone on a bridge.   (Why not?)

I have to add that Ben ended up being quite the natural poser! I know he wasn't that comfortable at the beginning (how many guys are?); but by the end, he had it down.  And as much as this might embarrass Ben, telling him to look at his mom was silly enough to bring out his best smiles & laughs!!

Enough, enough....enjoy some shots of this handsome SENIOR!

Laurie & Ben decided to take the pictures on St. Francis' campus!  Geesh, I think the last time I was there was...oh... maybe 20 years ago for a basketball camp?!  I love walking around any college campus to see their beautiful buildings & history.  Bass Mansion caught my eye right away.  It's just huge & gorgeous!  We were able to shoot in several areas around the mansion.  While most of the pictures you wouldn't even notice we're next to the building, there are a few that really capture the beauty of the whole house!! **Laurie also informed me that they do tours during the holiday seasons!

Sometimes a model (he'll love me calling him that:) has to be a little uncomfortable to get a great shot!  I love this picture as we were battling the rain & some fell in his eye!

Check out more of Ben's pictures in his GALLERY!

Thank you Laurie for entrusting me to capture some senior memories for Ben & your family!!  And Ben, thanks for being a trooper through the rain!! I had a blast meeting & working with you both! I pray that you LOVE these pictures for many many years to come!!

Dyer Extended Family

With a mass of consecutive shoots that weekend & the work of editing in between; it seems like forever ago that I took pictures of the Dyer family!  I really enjoyed relooking & working with them more closely!  It was a gorgeous, great day to interact with the whole Dyer family!

Part of the fun (at least for me) is scoping out new sites for upcoming shoots.  So far, I have yet to go to the same place twice!  After driving past MANY times; I finally decided that Blue Cast Springs would be a neat place to take pictures of the Dyer family.
Honestly, I had never been back on the trails; I was just interested in the trees out towards the road!   In the past year, more hype has been surrounding this historic site.  I, for one, was excited to hear & read about something interesting from around this area.  Check out their site to learn more about this fascinating piece of history.  And then, go take your family on a hike through their trails!

I had the privilege of coaching a winter volleyball league with Teresa last winter!  I was more than excited when she asked me to take pictures for her family!  After meeting the rest of the Dyer crew (who traveled from all corners of the state!); we headed back towards the trails.  I had to shoot fast to keep up with those little ones! They were active & definitely kept us all on our toes:)!  That's part of what will make this a fun & memorable shoot!

While I didn't get a large variety of whole group shots, I hope that I made up for it with our little break-out sessions!
